Drove by one of my favorite sites today, and saw where a little dirt had been pushed around and spread by contractors.
Put the 9 inch coil on the XP and decided to give it a go.
Ended up with 3 beat up musketballs, a slick Liard de France, a tiny lead seal that says Bordeaux, a Brass Louisiana tax token, and a Good for 5 cents slot machine token. I saw "Good For 5 cents In Trade" on the back and thought it was a local for a second, and then realized it wasn't, sigh....
The Liard was the best find, but its so slick that I can barely make out the bust. Too bad it is toasted.

After that I tried a sidewalk tear out at a 1920's theatre near the down town area, and I didn't find anything worth mentioning.
On the way home I went by one of my old faithful token holes and started off finding. My first 3 plugs were a 1943 silver nickel, a wheatie, and a Alabama tax token. Not long after I dug a buffalo nickel, a local 1910'ish DLD "Dunbars Lopez and Dukate" Seafood industry picker token, and a brass Mississippi tax token.
The locals tokens are what im after, so the brass octagonal DLD was the big find from the 3rd site.

I also dug a plastic Mississippi sales tax token when chasing a iffy signal and pulling a bunch of nails out of the hole. I don't get many of these.
