I was able to hit the yard of a home built in 1956. Not old by hobby standards, but I was at least hoping for a silver Rosie, or Washington. Imagine my surprise when I pulled this no date Standing Liberty quarter, an Aladdin's Castle token, and the Shell Oil Presidential token with James Polk on it. The Standing Liberty, is a Type II, as it has the stars on the reverse. I added a picture of the home, which is owned by a co-worker. Don't overlook those "newer" old homes, as they can be sleepers and their yards can hold some treasures also. Happy Easter to all.

Well Done Congratulations

Congrats on your finds!

Nice find...an SLQ is high on my list of goals for this year!

I remember seeing slick SLQ's still in change up to the point clad hit our pockets.

My uncle was a freak on silver, started sounding the alarm for stashing even after clad - just always checking his change.

Like I do now..... Had to get it from somewhere.

Nice work, glad to see it pay off! Happy Easter!

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!

If the SLQ has no stars under the reverse eagle, you still have a coin worth more than face.
Don.........
Thanks Don, it is a Type II as it has the stars on the reverse. I forgot to mention that in my original post, and have edited my post to indicate that. Always appreciate your insight. Ron
