So a new house is being built, where an old one once stood...original house was built in 1925...right in my wheelhouse! The front yard has been scraped down, new sod to be put down next week. The permission was easily granted, and the turf gave me some goodies!
11 wheats, two buffs, the greenie is 1920!, and my first hunt ever finding 2 Barber Dimes!:headbang: Happy to find a fat Washington as well. Not much trash, no keeper "relics", just a nice beep beep dig for a few hours..

I get home, and my 31" Sampson Lesche is waiting to meet me...thanks to Wayne and the gang at Metal Detector Sales Rental | Treasure Hunting | Metal Detecting Stuff

Like the T-shirt says, you've been keeping your coil to the soil, and the finds just show up.

Dave,

Good haul on the silvers.

I'd say you did very well! Your going to love that Lesche. I wrapped the handle and shaft with electrical tape. Just in case of a live wire. Close call about 20 years ago, and electrical tape saved my butt! Congrats on your hunt:thumbsup:

Very nice coin hunting, congratulations! Three good looking silver coins! :occasion14:

Hi BWD; That 1916 Barber dime is in strong XF Condition. Sweet. That's got to be your best coin there. Keep it up. PEACE:RONB

Ugh! Didn't think of that!:o

I 2nd Jeff Gordon.

Nice saves. Not a big fan of shovels, except for woods/farm-fields.

That's really why I got it...don't plan on using it for private lawn permissions, but every once in a wile, I find myself wishing I had one. My wife's family lives in the mountains and woods of Maryland....and there are a couple of old fields up there, that I will be tearing up in October...

I have a short handle, little shovel I keep in the car for the farm fields but yeah, almost everything else, I use my garden tool. People REALLY take exception to seeing others digging up schools, parks, sports fields with what "looks like" a shovel. Just a word to the wise for those who do. You ARE giving more fuel to those would outlaw all metal detectors. Just IMHO, of course. :dontknow:

had a pretty good day then???? SACK O' TREASURE

Good to see Dave knock another one out of the park. Great score !

Hi; I have one. I use it a LOT. I think I'll wrap mine now. Great idea. Thanks guy.
Just think; 10,000 Volts and your hot to trot.!!!! :dontknow: :laughing7: PEACE:RONB
