My wife was cleaning house today. In order to help her, I left and went detecting.
I was at a loss for places to go and ended up at our city park. The park has been there since the middle 1800's, but has been blasted by detectors and people trashing it up. I had a very hard hunt, with little to show, but I thought since I dug it all and cleaned it up, I should go ahead and post what I found:

I bet this cap is pretty old....kinda cool. (Yeah, I know...I suck.)

One of the first pulltabs made....even before ring tabs. Told ya the place is old.

Check out the shells. That one is necked down to about a 22 caliber bullet with a tremendous powder charge. Long range for sure.

Here are the bottom stamps to each respective shell. There is a guard armory right next to the park. Not hard to realize how these ended up here.

This is copper. Anyone know what it is? I know it is an old lid; it appears to be super old.
