A two button day for me .. one unknown .. but the other is way cool!!!

The one looks like an old one piece button that may have a number on the front .. possibly a toasted regiment button of some sort? It measures 18mm.

The other is a cool old sporting button with an elk head on it!

Found just a few other nondescript things in search of an old long-gone house site.

Update: It is now thought that the first button is a 23rd Regiment of Foot of the Royal Welsh Fuzileers. It actually measures 19mm instead of 18 as I stated before.

Thanks! it is brass, with a plain brass back. No backmarks.
