This is a new park built on old ranch land in a nearby town. The park folks keep all 12 acres of it mowed down to about 3" high, making swinging the fields very comfortable. Smack dab in the middle of the kid's playground, 4" under the grass, I found the civil war era .58 Caliber Minie ball. I also found a very heavy (registered 93 on my ATPro) gilt bracelet. The bracelet is nicer-quality costume jewelry probably, but at least it is not stamped "China, Pakistan, or Mexico." I also found two ear tags for cattle from the same owner. I found several pounds of plow, tractor, and stove iron but I just can't haul it home so I leave it there. I was only able to cover a small area and am looking forward to hitting the park again! Eclectic hunts are cool. Happy hunting this weekend to everyone. Sub 8-)
