A very good day 1976 S mint & 1909!!!!!!!

i got my box of halves yesterday....... i have a in " my sister in-law works at a bank in small town USA i think this is going to be a hot spot. in a hand full of wheat penny she gave me, that i looked over very fast was a 1909. I'm new to this so if anyone can help? thanks DEEPDIGGEREXPII

A good Haul. congratulations. I have a sister-in-law who works in a bank also. Unfortunately she lives 100 miles away, so I don't get down there often. She is saving halves for me.

IF the 1976 Bicentennial half looks like silver at all it is 40%, however most proofs are clad I believe.

At a drive through bank today, I could see the teller's stack of halves; and over half were silver. When I asked to buy them, she said she was saving the silver ones for a colleague.

I hate when that happens.
