a very large copper button today ?

Hey all i dug this copper button today in a field it was deep , i never saw one this large it is the size of a US half dollar it has full shank and some pretty good detail left on it , has anyone any idea what it is , it was found in the fields i find KG coppers all the time and very old buckles today no KG,s but a old Coronet head one cent to my surprise i included some pics any help thanks Jim :thumbsup:

buttons are fun!!!! that is a nice one for the collection good luck and keep digging krazyhorses

Nice button! :icon_thumleft: These examples are listed as copper and sized 1 1/8" to 1 1/2" - all 18thC.

The ID above is correct. It is a large, 1700s button. Nice find!

Thanks guys :thumbsup: i had no idea it was that old but that makes sense with all the KG coins mixed in the fields Jim
