Been quite a while since I have been logged in on T-net..so glad to be back on and congrats to all the great finds people have made.

I was able to get out and get fresh air and look for some artifacts today. I knew I would not have long to look since it was about 4:30 p.m. when I left the house for the river and it's getting dark before 7:00 p.m. now.

This spot has produced and two rivers meet at the bed where I found the point. Just two weeks ago I found a nice three inch arrowhead while it drizzled rain on me for 4 hours.

Anyhow I searched where the previous point was found with no success so I changed gears and searched a different area and found several nice chipped pieces. By this time I had to stay bent over pretty much because there was little to no light left. Searching back and forth over a small area I spotted the familiar shape I was searching for. Just about an inch and a half long.

I could not get a in situation pic with this one it was just too dark. The workmanship on the right picture says it all.

I took another pic of it in the light at home and seems to be made of a root beer colored flint and is also very translucent as you can see in left pic. Something peculiar is it almost looks like a Halloween face with a smile..and it sure made me smile. "Happy Halloween" all..

Love it, great find.

Beautiful and practical -- WOW! :notworthy: :icon_thumright:

Hope soon you give yourself permission to hunt in dry weather and daylight, lol.
:tongue3:

But maybe for all of us, some of our best finds are made under the lousiest conditions! HAVE FUN!
