A Weird and Wonderful Detecting Season...So Far...

The weird thing is I've been having terrible luck with the detector despite getting on to new permissions almost weekly. The wonderful thing is that when I'm not actually detecting I'm finding decent metal targets. I've been walking a very small stretch of riverbank lately where a brothel once stood and have found several nice bottles...many from the 1800s and none beyond 1920ish. I was on this stretch yesterday and didn't fi d a single bottle but I did eyeball a 100 year old silver quarter! This would have just fallen out of the embankment because it would have been washed away on the next time or covered in silt. Good timing! I went back again this morning and found the pre-1920 vehicle registration plate! It was above the water line otherwise it would have been toast. In great condition for being close to organize over 100 years old! Always something g weird and wonderful coming out of this spot!

Those are some great finds I be honest I go out many times and don't find much but I still love it cause you know it's coming keep your head up and your coil down my friend

Good eye! It's funny I love searching around water with my eyes but not so much with the detector! That coin is a great find!
