This is the first I've heard of this. Do you have a link for more information?

Soon, an acceptance scan will be very important for sellers. When the fall updates take effect, if an item does not have an acceptance scan in your stated handling time and is not delivered in the estimated delivery time, it will be a defect.
I have no idea what a acceptance scan is .. So i guess it will not bother me..

It's the scan the post office does when they accept your package

Here is a link:
2015 Fall Seller Update | eBay Seller Center
Here is what it says:
New on-time shipping metric
You'll be recognized for on-time shipping if tracking shows your item was either shipped within the stated handling time or delivered by the estimated delivery date. If there's no tracking available, we'll check with your buyer. If your buyer confirms the item was delivered on time—you'll be recognized for on-time shipping.

Shipments will be considered late only when:

Tracking shows item was delivered after the estimated delivery date and there's no acceptance scan within your handling time or there's no confirmation from the buyer of on-time delivery, or
Buyer confirms item was delivered after the estimated delivery date and there's no acceptance scan within your handling time or there's no delivery confirmation by the estimated delivery date

we'll check with your buyer

Oh goody. :BangHead:

Yeah, we can help how long the post office takes to deliver it. Half the time my acceptance scans don't show up until a day after they are done or whatever.

This is what happens when you have "top rated sellers" that print labels out and then don't mail off your item for a week. I just experienced this exact thing twice from "top rated sellers". If there is a will there is a way for some fool to f something up. Give them an inch and they turn it into a mile. I started getting most of mine scanned already anyway. Luckily I have a post office within 4 blocks from my house.

I get them scanned because they are horrible about doing it. I have two packages that supposedly have been in the main sorting facility for the last two weeks. Those were the last time they were scanned. They are mailed a week apart to different states.

Have you called them up to track them down or filed a claim online?

The buyer didn't complain, and the two week return policy passed. If I don't hear from them, I assume they got it. <Yeah, I know what assume means.> Some things I feel are better off not poking around in. And besides, last time I tried to find out, they ended up calling ME to see if the package got delivered.

I don't even bother to check tracking. Once I drop it off it's out of my control. Unless/until the buyer complains I'm not going to waste time worrying about it.

I'm a Jewish mommy. We look for things to worry about. 😋
Bwahaha.
I have to learn to let go.

Yup, don't worry until a problem presents itself. Poke around much and a buyer might get the bright idea to claim they never received it...

I usually get it scanned if I am at the 3 day handling window(my default) after I print from home. I follow the tracking because I wait until one day or so after delivery and then leave feedback. I do it as a reminder for buyers to leave ME feedback.
