My family visited my brother in the Williamsburg, VA area this weekend... as we all know this is an area rich in history.
However, the only people I know there is my brother's family... so we are limited in detecting places. Fortunately, there is an old home site on his lot... My oldest son went out with the Ace and found this cufflink?? I'm not certian that is the proper ID, so if anyone else knows for sure it would be appreciated. What I'd really be curious about is its era of origin. In the past I found a few buffalos and a 18th century button, but not much else of value as a lot of the lot has been graded and filled.
He has told me in the woods behind his barn there supposedly is the site of a prohibition era still that was literally blown up by the police, but I'm waiting for cooler weather to check that area when the copperheads will be less active. It will be interesting to see what turns up in that area. 8)
Thanks for looking!
