Awesome, exactly what i was looking for!

Went to a local sports field yesterday to MD but they were all being used, so I'm going to hit them up early this weekend before anyone is out on them. On my way back, I hit up a local park that has a very small tot sand pit that I've hunted earlier in the year with my 250. The space is so small, it only takes about 10 minutes to scan, but I got a solid 80-82 on the Pro, and it was a dime just as the post above stated. Got some really high pitched signals at 90+ that had some odd sounds that accompanied the high pitch tone, dug but could never find what it was. I figure it had to be some sort of fitting because about 6" below the sand is a "protective layer" so that weeds and what not do not grow through. I could never reproduce the high pitch noise consistently but when I did get it to pop up, it was always met with odd lower tones which I only assume was telling me was some piece of iron.

Your assumption is correct. The low grunts mixed in the high tone is the ATP's way of telling you it's probably junk.
I've only had my ATP for a month, but I'm learning the machines language quick. It's a truly amazing machine.

Yeah I'm enjoying it even though I've only been out twice with it. Really hated the bell tones the 250 had. The ATP at least gives me some things to think about before digging, which I'm a fan of. Going to get out tomorrow morning early at the fields I tried to dig the other day in hopes I get there before everyone gets there to populate the various sporting fields.

Bottle cap from a mini bottle of liquor : 67 (I find tons of these at a site that hosts concerts)

Two clad quarters sandwiched together: 90

That list isn't as filled in as some of em out there I just snagged the first one google threw me to get str8flexed started off.

Did a quick hunt this morning for about 2 hours at a local sports park. The day started out good with a quarter and 2 pennies in about 20 minutes, and then the detector was silent for most of the rest of the hunt. I guess either no one loses that much there, or someone else has been through it. Found just a few trash items and still have about 2 more fields to go through there, but all in all, the most successful day with the AT PRO so far. I was shocked at how little trash there was in the fields. Totals for 2014 so far with the ACE 250 and the AT PRO is $2.46

Still keeping my eye open for my first ring though and I think with the AT PRO I'll eventually find it if someone lost it!

Good to hear the pro is starting to work for you. Mines out in the truck begging to go hunt as I'm stuck here working on a Saturday :/

Found a really good spot this morning, was out for about an hour and my pro pointer died, started making high/low noises back to back whenever I would turn it on, so I am going to change the battery in hopes that it fixes it. Anyhow, I hunted MAYBE 1/5th of this spot that is frequented by tons of people. Found 2 dimes, 1 nickel, and 9 pennies. One of the pennies was a wheat penny which is a first for me! Had my first nail over a penny too.. signal was odd, but the high pitch was screaming through, so I dug it. Really loving the AT PRO so far!

I recommend digging everything 45 and up. You'll miss out on stuff otherwise. When I use mine, I don't look too hard at where the tone registered. I found and gold and silver ring together which bounces all over the place. Almost as if it were a bottle cap or even foil. Good luck.

It's a nice thought, but hardly realistic unless you're on a beach or some other clean area.
