Actually yesterday’s playground hunt

Went out with my hunting partner and drove many miles… but wasn’t a bad day…
Gold Ring 3.2 grams 14k, Roosevelt Dime 1949, and an old Attendance pin, all came from an abandoned church we almost didn’t stop at…
Rest came from various playgrounds only one of which actually produced a relatively good amount of coins.
Also got what probably is the SMALLEST gold ring I’ve ever found. Appears to be 10k with a weight of .2 grams was a playground 🛝 find.
Coins for the day…..
21 quarters, 5 nickels, 17 dimes + 1 silver, and maybe 42 pennies?

That wedding band was sheer luck 🍀, the abandoned church was NOT producing many signals, no wheats and almost no digable signals at all.. so when I got a nickel signal I dug hoping for a nickel… it was a clean, clear signal just not something I normally would have dug. Not even very deep, maybe 2-3 inches.
The dime was one of those horrible broken up jumpy signals where the numbers averaged around the penny wheat penny range. Dug only because I hoped it was something worthwhile… never expected a silver dime.

I'm not a Jewelry hunter at all but I've found almost 400 pieces of Jewelry (including a lot of costume grade junk) - pretty much by accident.
I found almost all my Sterling Silver Rings because I thought I was digging a Dime or a Quarter.
I found just about all my Gold Rings because I thought I was digging a Nickel.

To all of those here who believe it’s some incredible thing for us to consistently find playgrounds that produce lots of stuff… we don’t 😂 we went to 5-6 different elementary schools and only 1 actually had much of anything in it. This was actually a playground we visited about 2-3 years ago and it produced so much that I always wanted to go back, but I couldn’t remember how to get there… 🤷🏼‍♂️ then a month ago me and the wife were driving somewhere else and drove by that same school and I made a mental note of where it was. 1 1/2 hours from my house 😂 that’s when I told my hunting buddy that we had to go back… I showed 21 quarters but I probably got 17-18 at that place the other 3-4 came from the other 5 places we stopped 😂 so yeah we work hard for our $7 in change… not enough to cover gas 😂🤣
