Adding a new coil to a Bounty Hunter 1000

Im sure you guys will think...why the hell spend time on that machine....i just got this machine for under a few buck$ and just want to experiment with it.

2 main questions: How can i install the 10" coil on my machine...they have them for sale that i can add it on. Any tips/cautions/ideas...maybe from others that have done it before?

Also, can another manufacture coil be installed on it?
