Ok I did it. Got some 2-piece eyelets from Hobby Lobby and put 5 in the bottom of the pouch. I figured out that it's easier to use a soldering iron to burn through the material rather than trying to cut it. Looks good. I may try that.

If you do, make sure you get the 2 piece kind and get the setting tool.

Great idea! I have a couple of Garrett bags that need this treatment as I always have to dump out a few ounces of dirt after every hunt. Thanks!

with the 2 piece kind and the setting tool you should not need to cut or melt the bag. They are design to cut the perfect hole by them selves as you punch/set the eyelet in place :)

I thought that too, but the Garrett bag material was too tough and it would just bend the ends over before punching through. They must be made for cloth.

Well the ones we used when I was in boy scouts to put grommets in the canvas tents were brass, So maybe the make different types for different materials, I see yours have a silver look.

These were made in China...so...there ya go. Lol

Very neat idea. I'm going to have to try that with my bag. Any special way you spaced them out, or did you just use a ruler/measuring tape?

Just used a ruler and marked it with a pen.

I love your idea and will be adding them to my bag the first chance I get. Thanks for posting this.

That is a GREAT idea!

Stellar idea!
