Advice on what I'd be gaining

Mornin all. I currently have a hand me down spectrum xlt and am thinking about moving to a mxs. Obviously the new mxs is water proof,but what in your opinion would I gain with the upgrade. Thanks

How about going from a Whites DFX to a Whites
MX Sport? I really have not seen a comparison of the two yet.

you will lose your multi frequency of the dfx....and if you beach hunt there will be a loss of performance there. Other than the waterproofing i see no gain .....

Okay thanks Digger. I would like to get a V3i but a little out of my price range right now. I just bought an Etrac a month ago and refuse to give up the Whites. I like being able to switch up detectors or having a back up so if somebody else would like to go out with me detecting. I was hoping the MX sport would be a little better than the dfx being newer technology.

A newer detector does not necessarily mean newer technology.....
