Saw on news ticker this am, that someone shot up the African American Civil War Memorial here in DC. That really sucks. I hope they catch the guy and put him behind bars for a long time. By the way, I am white and I don't care if you are black or white. Destroying American history sucks.

Yes it does!Building malls and condos on old battlefields for the sake of profit.In Marion county,Florida,the site of CSA Capt J J Dickinson's SUNNYSIDE PLANTATION and CSA Fort Brook on the Oklawaha River in Orange Springs is staked out for a subdivision,and not far away,DeSoto's camp was recently discovered.History lost to the highest bidder.

If allowed, you should get your detector out when they start clearing the land. I am waiting on a couple of places here in Leesburg where they plan to clear the land and build condos. But its not near any battlefields. The closest one is Balls Bluff.

Couple of suspected gangbangers blasting away at each other after a party for local youth broke up at a nearby venue. The news tried making it sound like it was intentionally fired upon. Nope. Collateral damage from 2 criminals shooting in the general direction of each other.
