Ag below $20!!

I'm very suprised about the drop given the Fed's recent announcements. I would have thought that the money exiting stocks would have been moving into commodities causing it to rise, not fall.

I'm not complaining, though. As soon as I see combined spot + premium drop below $20/oz. I'll be jumping on some purchases.

same here! i'll be buying what silver I can afford! There's nothing like stacking that Ag!

Nice finds BuffaloBoy.

I think someone needs to check with TimZim. I bet he just liquidated his entire Ag coin stash and flooded the market, causing silver to plummet towards record lows. Rumor has it that he was getting tired of all of the skunk boxes and wanted to see how long it would take for him to get back all of his silvers again in fresh hauls. Need proof? Just look for the TZ stamped on each coin. :laughing7:

I can't get too excited about it, I can't in good faith buy silver when Im sitting on a bunch of it I found CRH. it's too low for me to even consider selling. I'd be excited now if I sold everything when silver was in the $30s and I can get back in the market for super cheap. Right now since I already have a bunch all I will be doing if I buy in at what I consider the "bottom" is tying up more of my money in silver that might be a super long term investment, which I'm afraid now it is

What I can't figure is why Silver dropped 9% and copper only 3%... As commodities, they are both affected directly and equally by the strength of the US Dollar against other currencies. So, Brenankhole mumbles that the fed MAY slow down the bond buying in september from 80 Billion a month to a lowly 65 billion a month-IF- all other indicators of the economy remain strong and showing growth. ----Well, that will obviously strengthen the Dollar today, obviously... But 9% in one day? And - oh- wait- a stronger dollar is supposed to Increase the price of silver versus other currencies according to ECON 401 we all learned in college. I'm just a tad miffed that the stock market and commodities- gold and silver- are moving in the same direction! They are supposed to be inverse and opposite- all other things being equal. No worries I suppose, my long term charting has shown a bottom of $18.ish for months and that is my go "all in" price range once it gets there...
Pertaining to CRHing- I like finding silver at discount- but dang- 9% in a day is ugly...

Silver And Copper have no relationship to one another. There is more copper, more industrial demand, hence the reason why it "only" dropped "3%". Infact I'm surprised copper dropped that much.

I got 200 dollars in clad nickels from CRHing and I am throwing around the idea as to if I want to go and buy 200 dollars in gold or cash it in and keep CRHing with it. I think it would be really nice to have one piece of gold. Only bad thing is that the gold I saw was small, the size of a dime, that's only 200 bucks. LCS last time I asked, the smaller the piece I buy, the higher the premium is.

Don't know, should I go buy 200 bucks via Provident metals or stick with LCS?? Need a bit of help and advice from the more experienced.

Sincerely, Garoulady

Buying off internet youll have the shipping cost so unless it still cheaper id just buy from your lcs- and even though its only dime size its still cool to have a small gold american eagle

Go to auction and buy gold there in there. one of the last times I purchased gold at an auction, I spent $10 and came out with nearly $400 worth.

My mom went to an auction I was not able to hit, I steered her to it, she manages to snag a necklace for $55 worth $177 before the price drop.

Buying gold at the coin shop isnt the smart route, why pay a premium?

easy decision if you ask me, - use that money to keep CRHing. in a few months you might be able to afford that gold piece and still have your CRHing bank.

I myself can't afford to dip into my CRHing money right now to buy any silver or I would have to search less boxes, now if it went to say oh I don't know, $11.00 oz, I would probably cash in most all of my CRHing money except for a grand and buy Silver, then start over again getting CRHing money, because I could never stop CRHing ha ha. HH, Maverick.

I'd be happy just to have a grand to CRH with, LOL. I need to scrapping together all my change for a bigger CRHing fund. My mom pulled out my dad's silver stash and didn't know about it till later. She asked me what it was. I told her it was her rainy day fund, otherwise known as losing the house fund. Found out my dad had more silver eagles than I did. LMAO! Don't know how much all together but I just have to grin at what my dad saved up when we went to all those coin shows and the LCSs.

A great way to build up your CRH fund is through ebay. start selling all your non-silver finds that you think you can get a premium for. Gold plated, halves with screen prints on them, magicians coins, sets of NIFCs. You can also get good at identifying certain items and hit up garage sales etc. to build up an ebay inventory.

My problem is too many items on hand that need to be eBayed and not enough time to list them all. :(

Lol, I know that feeling, plenty to sell, just no time to list it. HH, Maverick.
