Those are one of my fave types/lithics.
Excellent displays.

Molly..

Looks like a McKean Lanceolate Larson.....around 4,000 years old. Those are all great finds. Thanks for showing.

Here are some that I have that come from your neighborhood Larson. Amazing how similar.

Beautiful frames.
Have a question for you since you deal with a lot of side notched points.
Have you ever seen a little point with 2 notches on each side and one notch on the bottom being in triangular form ?
Thanks for sharing.

I do believe I have seen what you are speaking of, the only double notched point I have does not have a notch on the bottom, but it is very nicely ground. Unfortunately it has a little notch out of the tip.

Pulled this from a collection about 30 years ago. I had thought then it was maybe aleutian islands or something. Seeing all the fine side notched ones you guys find in the Dakotas made me revisit this point and look at it. I do not think its a fake but wont rule it out as I did not find it ?
Thanks

That is a fine looking point. To bad you don't know where it is from. We do come up with some nice ones at times, but there are many areas that produce some mighty fine side notched types.

Here is one from Nebraska found in 2006.

Very nice points Larson.

Yours are very nice too Quito.

Thanks for the pictures.

For : TnMountains

I think your point came from this area not meaning Texas exactly . But I think on yours it would be Harrell , Fresno , or Carrizo . I found one Carrizo with a broke tip and yours and mine are close on matieral . Mine is without side notches

Thank you Smurfett. I remember when we saw it. The guy pulled it out and said it did not belong. I had no idea what it was and he gave it to me. I have kept it seperate from my local stuff . Its just to nice looking to be around this Tennessee stuff :laughing7:

Thank you. The notches on mine seem small. So I hesitate thinking it could be real. Here is what I was looking for. This point traveled with the other one if that helps any. Thanks
