Ah well, best laid plans and all that. :)

[WHADIFIND]

I had trouble sleeping last night. I kept having all those dreams of sugar plum fairies getting in my way.
A new place to hunt, virgin, old enough, all mine!!! LOL

Then, I got there, went for 2 hours and was soooo tired, I had to leave. (HOT! 2 days in a row!! )

I was envisioning Roosies, Mercs, SLQ's etc etc! Just lining up to jump in my pouch.

Reality:

At least got a fair chunk for the battery fund.

Maybe next time.

(See?!? Not every time works for me either! LOL )

Oh yeah, and I found an old key but I left it for the owner. Figuring I'd keep the karma going.

Thanks for peeking!
HH!

Found some wheat's so a silver may be hiding somewhere..you at least cleared out the clad and junk to help ya find them.
Check the sides of front/rear steps working any foot traffic areas or around the edges of any porch..around the base of hand dug wells,..where old out house may have been..etc

If nothing comes up there, you may have to just abandon the yard and start checking inside like the basement..behind old art, mason jars in the attic's

[xr7ator]

Sometimes the best looking places don't pan out and then there are the ones that you drive by all the time and finally try and hit paydirt. There is some luck involved in this hobby. HH

Oh, I didn't really expect the pot o gold to just be sitting there for me.
I just did a very short, high level scan of the site. It shows some promise. Funny I didn't see much in the way of age indicators though. Would have expected a few.

I'll just have to develop the site and see.

Thanks!

Anytime I get one or two wheats now I feel it has been a good hunt =)CARM

[recondigger]

Well keep hitting it and clean all that new stuff out if the way and I'm sure you will find something good

Dig until your arm falls off

[Back-of-the-boat]

What are the dates on your wheats?

[vpnavy]

You still had some nice finds WHADIFIND.

[cjon455]

Yeah i hate when i think a spots gonna be a gold mine and it ends up being not so hot. Still made some nice finds for 2 hrs though! maybe head back when its a bit cooler and hit it again at a different angle??

[cooper1841]

I hate reality, sometimes. I had to go to plan B the other day, now I know why it was plan B, it sucked! Oh well, sometimes you will have that.. Nice finds and HH

[relicmeister]

I'm always amazed at how a site that was a disappointment the first time there turned out to be a terrific site-so GO BACK!

[NW Digger]

Hey you still had some good finds, and at least you got some rubbish out of the way, maybe your vision will still come true!
Good luck and HH!

[Birky]

The way I see it is... You've got all the undesirable targets out of the way. Now the spot is primed and ready for a successful day

I predict silver and possible gold for round 2..don't give up yet!

HH,
Chris

It do seem like there's a consensus on board. Ain't it. LOL

Thanks! I ain't a finished with 'er just yet. After all, I've been hunting the mansion for almost a year now. This place isn't a mansion by any stretch. But, it'll get the same consarned determination!

[WHADIFIND]

What are the dates on your wheats?

They were what I call "minimal" wheats. Just a 1909 -s.

Naw, actually, 56 & 48.

The theory is that if there's wheats there's silver. The part people forget is that while that may be true, nowadays, it usually means there "used" to be silver. LOL

Thanks!
