My name is Dmytro, I’m the CEO and Co-founder of Ailand Systems, a company from Ukraine where we build autonomous drones for landmine detection.

As you may know, Ukraine is currently the most landmine-contaminated country in the world. The World Bank estimates the total cost of demining at around $37 billion, and the process will take decades. It’s no surprise that new landmine-detection technologies are emerging from here.

To help support our demining efforts, we’ve just released a new product - Spinner TH, a special edition of our landmine-detection drone adapted for treasure hunting. It offers all the core features you’d expect from a high-end handheld metal detector - such as high sensitivity and metal discrimination - but mounted on a drone, making it fully remote and more productive.

I visited your website and looked at the Spinner TH, you claim that it can tell the difference in all metals, so that means it can tell if it's detecting gold and not other types of metal.....well I like the concept....but if you have truly developed a metal detection capability that can tell for certain that it's gold and not another type of metal you should be in the business of making and selling "Gold Detectors" because no other metal detecting company to date has developed a metal detector that can differentiate with certainty between non-ferrous metals, i.e. lead, nickel, silver, gold etc.!!!

That being said you may sell more of the Spinner TH if you remove that claim from your website, because those who really know metal detectors will be put off by that statement and see your innovation as a scam.

Spinner TH uses multi-frequency VLF technology, which is excellent for metal discrimination - especially between ferrous and non-ferrous metals. But you’re right, identifying the exact metal type is still a bit of a guessing game, so we’ll update the wording on our website accordingly. Thanks for suggesting that.
