Hey everybody. Has anyone ever flown with air Canada with a metal detector? I was going to use a pelican case but they are out of my price range right now. I decided to break down my AT pro and put the upper and lower stems into the luggage. I will carry the headphones and control housing in the carry on. My questions are: can I also put the coil into carry on luggage? I guess I have to ask can I also take the control housing in carry on luggage? Thanks once again for your input. Cheers.:BangHead:

voodoo,

I'd suggest just giving their customer service dept a call they should be able to give you the right answer.

yeah I planned to do just that. Just thought I would ask here first. Everyone is also so helpful. Thanks Bill I'll try calling them. Cheers.

ok talked to the security folks who check the luggage. They said "the control housing and the coil can both be stored in the carry on luggage. The stems have to go into the checked luggage. (I will also throw headphones into the carry on.) Woot good to go !!

That's good news. I thought airlines would be more stringent with carryon? Have a happy and safe flight.
Peace

I was shocked myself. makes it easier for me to transport. couple more months I shall be Ontario bound.
