For some reason this jet stood out to me as being unusual.
Maybe it was the size and speed. Maybe it was just a nice clear day.
Looks to have 4 engines.

Anybody know what it might be?
It was flying along a flight path that I usually only see military convoys using.

All I had was my phone so the picture wasn't the best.

i saw a plane like that not even a week ago i had no idea what type it was

Maybe a b-52 ? Or C-17

Swept wing so not a BUFF or Globemaster, looks like a B-1B Lancer.

I guess it may have just been a Boeing 747 or Airbus A388, but those are typically international flights.
Seems like most of the commercial jets we have overhead are just two engine models.

So I went to Flightradar24.com and played back the radar tracking for the time I took the picture (converted to UTC).
Nothing shows up along that flight path. So it must have been military in nature.

Get the app Flight Tracker and it will tell you many things about the planes you see--in real time.
Don............

That's the same thing Flightradar24.com does.
In browsing the data, I did see what appeared to be military jet training out of Yuma, Az., so that stuff shows up on radar.
I wonder why this flight wasn't shown?
Is this data only shown when a flight plan is filed, or do all planes show up I wonder?

Only a guess, but military aircraft may not be shown --for security reasons.
Of course ATC has that date, but not available through Flighttrader24 or Flight Tracker.
Don....
