Here's a ring (my dad found while treasure hunting some years back) unlike anything we have seen before, hence we call it the "Alien Ring". Its about 9/16" i.d., 3/4" o.d. Small in size, probably for a kid. It appears to be brass and has 3 translucent (glass?) stones. Looking at the sides of the ring it looks like saw marks like it was cut from a metal tube. Possibly home made? Maybe someone sent away for it with cereal boxtops? Anyone seen one like it, know what it is or have any ideas?

Folk Art, someone had a lot of time on their hands, could very well be Trench Art. Either way, very cool !

If the little green balls start glowing, and the sky fills with dark clouds.... run like hell.

When my Dad was a tool room foreman, he used to make belt buckles outta giant pipe threads.
Cut a section, twist silver sorter or some other wire around it, for a border.
It kinda reminds me of one of his handmade belt buckles.
Cool ring, don't really have any thing else to add, as to value or id, sorry,
thanks for sharing it.

If they start glowing and it gets dark,well...........I would just be curious enough to stick around to see what happens next!

I did try rubbing them, but nothing happened.
