Just got back from Unionbridge Maryland. Went to a farm with a co-worker that dates back from 1770. Detected for 3 hours and only found junk. We had about 20 minutes to spare before we had to head back home, so we strolled down by the pond and within 10 minutes my buddy found a 1725 Hispaniarum Rex. GRRR, I WAS GOING TO HIT THAT SPOT, THEN CHANGED MY MIND!!!!! The coin is in good shape. I'll try to get a photo here within the next few days. We are heading back on Monday, I'll have my camera with me then. Hope I can have the same luck as he did!!!!
The owner of the farm said that the pond was man made around 1955. When they dug the pond area, they threw most of the dirt along the sides of it. THE 1725 COIN WAS ONLY ABOUT 2 INCHES DEEP.
Thanks for looking!!!
