Today was day to of the weekend hunt and the most flat buttons Ive dug in one day to date. In my experience 7 flat buttons in one day up here in WV has been hard to come by. Our site was the place of a running CW calvary battle so we had high hopes of some good CW items, ended up finding a long forgotten home site so regardless today was a blast and some good finds. Im no expert on flat buttons but from some of the back marks im gonna date the site early 1800s to around the CW, all the face sides are smooth. I did find one CW bullets, a small pistol .32cal S&W. The buttons were recovered very deep. Thanks for looking.

The buttons are cool but the young Lady is your best find. :hello:

Some cool looking buttons. I love finding flat buttons!

Nice finds, congratulations! :occasion14:

I could sure use a "Digger" like that, yes, I know I would have to feed her every day, but sure would be of help. All I would have to do is point, she being built low to the ground, your digging tool would be "on it". The buttons are really great Riggleman, but your helper is the real treasure.

Shes been out with me since she could walk. I still find myself having to carry her in one arm and swing my detector with the other although less frequently now shes gotten alot heavy tho. But she does carry her own snacks, she become very excited about certain rocks and "fossils" as she calls them, which tend to fill my trash pouch after her vest pockets get full.

Coo; buttons and that princess is a darling gem.

Early 1800s sounds about right for the buttons-congrats

I would go over that house site real carefully. I would date those buttons from the 1790s to the 1820s. There may be a Spanish silver in there. It's also possible that you haven't found the main concentration. Your little helper is a sweetheart!
