Im bored with my yard, so I decided to go
down the road about a mile to detect around
a well where I believe at one time a house
also was, beacause of the flat area around it.
I was digging mostly 1960s and 1970s clad
when all of the sudden someone jumped out
from under the bush about four feet in front
of me and made the scariest noise ive ever
heard and really startled the hell out of me.
I knew it was the end of the line for me, but
thankfully the someone was a humongous
wild turkey, the biggest ive ever seen before.
Along with the clad, which im not including in
my pics I also picked up two mason jar lids
with the porcelain inside of them.
Unfortunately one of the porcelain parts
broke when I dropped it while cleaning it,
but it says on it, for all mason jars, pure
zinc lid.
Happy hunting and thanks for looking,
Allen

Know what you mean. Here in S. Korea we don't have turkeys, but we do have huge ring-necked pheasants.....and the males make it a habit
not to fly out of their hiding place until a person almost steps on them. I've had to drop my pants several times :'( after a pheasant bolted out
from beneath my feet. I always laugh afterwards.....but a little shakier then before it happened.
One good thing about all of your post.....if you would have had a full jar when the turkey jumped you, you probably would have broken it. :tongue3:

Good hunting......coins and TURKEYS.
