Im wanting to get into metal detecting i found a Pioneer 101 at a pawn shop they want 70$ for it should i get it or wait to find something else

Get it ...if you dont like it you can always resell at the pawn shop...But I think you will be hooked and will want a better one before too long....

If the pawn shop jobbie doesn't work well, you could be turned off to a wonderful hobby. I say to go for a name brand that has a warranty. Course they cost more, but you at least will have one to start out that you'll have confidence with.
