Nasty rain chased me away from a new place. Ended up in some woods on a path running outside a graveyard. Got a super hit at the base of a tree and rescued this. I have been trying to call the Legion right near the cemetery to arrange a return, no answer yet but I will keep trying. The right thing to do IS the only thing to do. image.webpimage.webpimage.webp. I'll try to get a picture of the return handoff and permission to post it!

I wonder if those have an identification number stamped on them where the legion could replace it where it belongs?

There is a number and maybe a name but the only letters I can make out are DE as the last two.

Glad you contacted the American Legion. You're doing the right thing. Good save. My hat's off to you.

Great job on the rescue and the attempt to return it to where it belongs!
