Just got out this evening for the first time this year (my mother passed away 2 weeks ago today after a long battle with ALZ). I could not use my Classic III due to a short in one of the battery leads, and the 6000 Di Pro was too heavy for my neck problems. My daughter let me take her Amigo II. I had never used it before and to be honest I did not think it would be much of a machine. Was I ever surprised! I was impressed with it's ability. The depth and sensitivity are amazing for an entry level detector.

We are heading to the Florida coast to visit a friend in a few weeks for a little R&R. I will be taking the Amigo II!

Rob, good luck with the Amigo II. You will have a blast at the beach so long as you stay out of the wet sand as it may make the Amigo unsteady.
