Amlost looks like a button????

I I was detecting my yard today that was built in 1895.. And I pulled out this target that was a brass signal (the high tone like 73,74,71 the dime range)... It almost looks like a button? What do you think it is I'm pretty sure it looks like a rasa flat button but not really sure.....

Cant really tell from your pictures, however on the second one, it looks like there is clips to hold it in, clean it up a little maybe I can give it a better shot.
