An awesome dig for just an hour.

It's gotta be a sunburst flask, you might just be having trouble with the perspective, Bass! Here I outlined one bottom edge. Of course the number/thickness of sun rays and the bands on the edge differs depending on which variant it is, but the way they are oriented is some pretty good evidence. There are probably a lot more variants than the ones that we've included as examples, but yeah, with the bands and rays, and the other kinds of finds he was getting, it's just gotta be. Which one exactly, who knows...

You nailed it. On an other site they narrowed it down as a GVII-3. Accredited to Coventry glass works here in CT.

Oops here's a pic

Quite a nice pocket you're in there.

Congrats on some beautiful glass !!!!

Man, you have a nice dump there, more good stuff lying for sure. Never seen Sterling bottle on the collectors site, may be a rare one. Nice pontils, good luck on finding a complete one. Pretty cool finds.

cant beat new England bottle dumps !

Great glass! Congrats!

From what little I know about bottles that sunburst pattern in that pale yellow Amber is a killer bottle. Still ya done good.

I know a bit about New England bottles, where I have my cabin in the Townships, we had early settlers from New England. But I would cut off my right hand to dig in a New England privy or dump. You can get a few $$$ with old rare pontils medecine or bitters bottles. Good luck and post your future finds please ;)

Awesome I dig specifically for new England glass . CT glass houses are my favorite. I've been digging this site for a few years now. If you go to my profile and look at my banner finds you will see the pitkin ink I found. I sold it for a hefty chunk of change.
