We went to the FLO yesterday and handed in another 80 finds for ids and 50 hammered coins!

So today we went back to the Chicken Farm Field and had a bit of an amazing day…!

Let me start you off gently with a Roman Fly Brooch … I know 🤯 (himself found that) then a lovely buckle, not sure what this next one is..then a lead thing, loops, another ‘not sure’ buckle, tack pins, pin head, buttons, then my South Ferriby Corieltovi Silver, my Roman and my hammered! Absolutely amazing little field 😆 xx

The 2 pics before the last hammered reminds me of the Celtic designs on their coins...did I read correctly, 50 hammered? All in one day?! I had a feeling this field would yield some great stuff...thank you for starting out gently with the himself find...

I had never head of a South Ferriby Corieltovi Silver so I had to look it up. That's a nice one -- pricey, too. Very nice find!

Yes thats a corroded iron age coin.. i guess it was once shiny silver…!

We took 50 hammered coins to the FLO.. found since we have been detecting .. thats our second batch… my record keeping wasnt great in our early days 😬 so have to work out where we found them and when before we get them recorded… hence the backlog… i still have about 100 to do 🫣! xx

Honestly i still cant believe what we find…!! I have started using Full Tones Sensitive program as there is so much iron.. its a game changer 😆…

I found a silver unit in 2023 in the next field over… so took pic today of where i found todays… they are almost in line 😳…
