Hello everyone,
I decided after work today to hit my front yard again asap. It was warmer than expected ( almost 40 degrees!!!!!) so I hit the yard hoping that Jack Frost kept his unwanted butt off my lawn!!!
I hit my yard, and I hit it HARD! Realizing that there were one or two detecting runs left, and that was only if the weather held out. If the ground froze, my detecting for the year was OVER
I ended up hitting the yard for about an hour and a half, give or take. I dont take my smartphone with me (yes, I have a smartphone, it is smarter than me, apparently) because I have heard that it can mess with a detector signal. Well, that, and the fact that I JUST got it, and I dont want it to be someone elses detector find later that day
As the sun started dipping, I had quite the zincoln/penny hoard, plus a Namco token, SCORE! And a weird car-logo-bird-thingie. It looks like a backwards-wrong Firebird logo. So.... Im not sure? FordThunderCougarFalconBird? Your guess is as good as mine
At the end of the day, the finds pouch yielded:
(3) Quarters
(10) Dimes
(47) Pennies (Yikes!)
(1) Bird logo (for a car?)
(1) Namco token (Pac-Man anyone?)
(1) .22 calibur shell
Thanks for looking everyone. Since I could only go about 3in or so, the finds were pretty lack-luster. But, with the help of some good research and some cool new friends, I may just make this upcoming season the best ever!
