Rang up a 45 zinc on the F2. Yellow looks good on the inside, but blackish grey on the outside. Stone chipped a little. No markings.

I don't have an F2 but I have found a ring once that was marked "10k & Sterling", it gave a very unusual signal and had a similar patina on the outside.

Cool ring for sure with the gold on the inside. What does it look like cleaned up? A little baking soda will tell you if the outside is silver or not. Nice find

WKRP43 THAT RING WILL LOOK NICE WHEN IT IS CLEANED UP. WHAT IS THE COLOR OF THE STONE ?

That is cleaned up....lol. soap and water with a toothbrush. Didn't try baking soda ..

Oh...the stone is red

Man, that thing sure looks to be the real deal inside. Looks to have some age too.

Def gold plating nice find though

Hi wkrp, interesting ring. Maybe some more pictures when cleaned up?

She certainly looks like an old one!!!

Just cleaned with baking soda, I can't tell much difference. Will put more pix on tomorrow, I like to take em outside in the natural light.

Polish it with jeweler's rouge.

The inside looks too good to be a plated ring.

The outside looks to be discolored by whatever was on the stone.

Went by the jewelry shop before work. He says gold plated, and the black is where the plating has worn off.

Very cool old ring !

Great find. Did you find anything else?

Ya know, hilljack, I did... almost forgot. Will make new post
