Welcome to Tnet
Those look like lava flows to me... especially the structures visible in the first two pictures. They look like 'ropy lava' (known as pahoehoe). Did you find this in a known ancient volcanic area? How do you know it to be ancient... from stratigraphy where it was found?

Welcome to Tnet and nice looking rock. The general area where you found it would be very helpful in IDing it.
