I have one of those that I found in a snakes skeleton. After asking around, I found out that farmers would put the glass egg in a chickens nest to make her set on eggs. Sometimes an old ceramic doorknob would be used to the same affect. I surmised that a chicken snake had stolen my egg and got his just desserts. That's a good ending for a thief. HH
