And the sea gives back Bling

Day started slow with few finds in the water, just after asking a guy what time it was, up comes a working men's watch, with the correct time on it! Got what looks like part of a silver tie pin, a token and a Bahamas 5 cent coin. Big hit was a 10kt ring with 7 small stones, and a solitaire ring . I think it's time to buy a diamond tester. Any recommendations ?

Tek

Took it all to the jeweler today. Both ear rings are Junque. The ring with 7 diamonds is real. The solitaire is real fake, it's not even gold, but boy did it get me going. A solitaire goes back on the wish list along with the royal escudo. Maybe next time.

Nice finds, congrats!!

Re: And the sea gives back Bling

Very nice rings! I asked nearly the same question the other day I asked how much for a tester...100-200 but no one mentioned any brand. Congrats on the terrific finds.

Re: And the sea gives back Bling

Nice rings...can't recommend a tester...best to do some research first..from what I found out, a good one cost around $250.00 or better.

Good Luck

I love when the sea gives up bling, congratulations!

What is the make on the watch?

Happy Hunting,
JCH

PS,
I'd probably hold off just a bit on the tester. After you get a few more pieces of ice, or potentially ice, then invest the dough and get a good one.

:o Very nice rings, very nice indeed! Watch ain't bad either. Now you'll never have to ask the time again. hehe

Very nice finds.

Nice finds Tek, those rings are awesome. I think the watch looks like a Timex or Seiko. Your heart always stops when you pull up that kind of bling.

Johnny,

The watch only has TCM on the face. I don't recognize the brand.

Nice finds there, check the band on the rings, I pulled one about a month ago that almost made my heart stop, then I seen CZ on the back and well... let's just say i was a bit disappointed, even though it was still 10k.

Diamond testers, a good one will cost a few hundred dollars, but to be honest, ive heard good and bad about all of them, but the one thing that sticks out is, they are not always very accurate. The time with a good louve and learning how to tell a diamond by looks will probably be a lot more valueable to you.

Beautifull Rings!! way to go.

Re: And the sea gives back Bling

That's a great beach hunt!
I'd guess the ring with the small stones is the real deal.

Congratulations!

Hey Tek,
Nice finds! Here's the model of diamond tester that I use: This is an eBay auction.

It works great, and has not steered me wrong yet. I've been buying gold and diamonds
for the last 20 years. Most pawn shops use this model.
