Yes...and the last picture driving away over the bridge through the tiny village, some of the locals were sandbagging the doors :o

Soaked through...need new waterproofs now for winter. The control box from the detector is in the airing cuboard, just to make sure there is no moisture in it :o

The first photo looks like very pleasant hunting!
Our fields that I hunt here are heavy thick clay. Turns to concrete in the summer.
The British (Gen. Cornwallis) soldiers appropriately named a marching trail "Pudding Ridge" When the soil gets wet here, it resembles pudding. Imagine trying to march on that!

Mike that field can be totally wet and sticky on the morning, and then powder dry on the afternoon. It really is a joy to dig on, so sandy, it's the Farmers best field :o but most of his fields are the same :icon_thumleft:
