Decided this morning to hit a lot I have been eyeing for some time, a long
desert strip next to a road. started out slow than the wheats started coming. Seemed like every step I took I got a wheatie. A little bit later got a huge signal and out came this buckle, not sure if its old but pretty ornate looks like maybe brass. Old razor, A token than a silver Rosie then I got a very low signal but it was consistent so I dug, out came a very small round object, almost diddnt keep but said ill clean it when I get home. Still not sure what it is but its a very small image of the Boulder Dam. Has to be before 1947 when name was changed to the Hoover Dam. Kinda cool. Also dug a small ring pretty bent looks like maybe the moon or earth on face gotta clean more. Nearing my last two grid paths got a great signal, couldnt believe only 3" and got my second Barber half for this month. All in all 30 wheats, silver, odd finds. Great Saturday hunt. Man im stoked for tomorrow. Thanks for reading. HH.

Thanks for sharing...

Ray, you are also on fire, Very sweet finds. I got to hit a couple spots I got permission yesterday with no old coins except one wheat. Don't know why but it was a 1944. I have not counted but seems like the last five wheaties I have found at least 3 of them were 1944. Ha Too bad they were not steel.

Congrats on another Barber half, reading all these posts are really getting me fired up to get out there but there is so much snow! This is the hardest winter we've had in about 20 yrs. as soon as the snow melts and the ground thaws I'm out the door running! Happy hunting Ray, can't wait to see what else you find!

Ray

So im really enjoying the great weather we have now to get out and hunt. Hopefully the ice age will be over for you guys soon and you can get back to digging. HH

Thats funny you mentioned that, this month almost 85% of my wheats where from the 40's and in that more than half where 1944. Crazy I was thinking the same thing.
