Another button from the banner field

This one is really cool, imho: flat, plain one-piece with a beveled edge. First one I could actually read the backmark right outta the ground without the scope.



But, since I know y'all like that scope, I took a few with it anyway





I know what it says: "BEST STRONG" in old English script and "STANDd" in normal print.

It's a thicker, more durable (strong? lol) button with a beveled edge. Shame the shaft loop didn't survive.

Looking for approximate age, rarity, and potential value (if any).

Yessir, with a beveled edge. No pattern. I will update the OP with that info.

I've seen a number buttons like yours posted over the years, and believe I may have dug 1 or 2 myself. It's just an early 1800s flat button that's relatively common. Still a cool find.

Thanks, Bill. I don't know squat about buttons, but given the propensity of coin varieties to mean the difference between a few bucks and a few hundred, I figure it's worth a shot to post and ask rather than just assume.
