I love car shows and going to the Dragway. Cool pics

Nice pics, gold boy. I'm glad you didn't get rained out.

The 68' Camaro is my favorite.

GB...What would be your first 3 choices in buying a classic car? Your dream cars I guess I would say?

I like vintage and classics too.

Cool Pics!

Thanks for the pics. They take me back several years.:icon_thumright:

Thank you for sharing! :occasion14:

Love the SS!!:hello2:

The second pic (GMC) was my second vehicle. My first was a '69 Cutlass that I had just swapped in a 455 and brand new T-tops and Cragar wheels...then proceeded to wrap it around a tree and explode the first day I drove it home from school...:blob8: (chasing girls)...:tongue3:

Just think what future car shows will be like. No loud rumbling motor hot rods with loud exhausts. Quiet little silent cars with the back hatch opened and an occasional
"Look. Original Batteries !! " that will be a sad day......

That's cool that someone your age still appreciates those classics!

I'm still working on putting my prohibition site pics and story about them together. After I get those posted I'll post some pics of the classics my parents and I have and have had.

There aren't any Fords although I do like the Shelby. Pontiacs are primarily what we collected (I kinda got out of it after my father passed away..it made me too sad) although I did sneak in a Hurst Olds and a '62 Vette while he was alive. My Dad was such a Pontiac fan that he'd order a new Silverado and bring it home and drop a Pontiac engine in it. lol! There's a '55 Pontiac in the collection..

I really like vintage mini bikes too, Primarily Under 100cc.

I've been on the lookout for either a '39 or '40 Pontiac that's been modernized on the interior and with power steering, brakes etc.

If I Win Mega Millions Tomorrow ...I'll get you a Shelby! Promise. I'll give away quite a bit to people here and have a Big Prizes Seeded Hunt for the Detector folks. I'd love to win it to give it away!

An abused and abandoned animal refuge is tops on my list if I'd win that.

Nice cars. I love going to car shows.

I use to own a nice 55 Chevy that I use to show, no longer own it now. There was no digital cameras back then so all I have is 35mm photos.

I also use to show my 76 Chevy van too, again no digital pictures of it for same reason.

they looked nice

They were, the 55 had all new carpet, roof liner, all new upholstery that was button tuck, Hurst 4 speed on floor 350 chevy engine. lots of chrome in engine compartment and headers.

The Chevy van I customized the interior extensively, all paneled, carpet, installed a wall that was Z bricked, and had burnt pine trim in doorway in wall to bed, wall was where sliding door stopped when open and behind it was a full size bed, 4 inch foam button tuck then covered in sheepskins. All doors were covered with red western cedar planks and had t-console built that was also red western cedar and all trimmed in hemp rope. Had propane heater and cooler.
