Looks like a Viper Trident under another name to me. A quick look at their other products screams Chineese imports with old Bounty Hunter flair. I wonder if Tesoro has a trade mark on that name. Who knows, maybe a legal battle over the name is in the works now and that's what is holding up the connectors. I am ready for my new Tiger Shark!!! Lord knows I'm not the only one. Hope they get it together soon.

Definitely looks questionable. I'd have a hard time trusting a company that tries to play off of another manufactures well established name. Even if Tesoro hasn't filed for a trademark, common law would more than likely allow Tesoro to go after them.

This is another "Me Too" metal detector that is playing off am established major manufacturer and is definitely Chinese. A major big box mail order company offers this cheap stuff to newbies all the time just to rip them off.

I saw them om ebay. It is supposedly a PI. I might try one for giggles if they put it in the MD3080 housing. The housing they are using is the same as an MD6000, MD9600 and Viper Trident. You'd be lucky if it worked after the first time you got it wet.
