Hey folks!
I took one day off yesterday and spent it for digging in an old park. I was rewarded for that. Three silver coins, lc 1918, IHP 1902, brass ornate thimbe, gold plated ring, old cufflink, marble were the best finds. I cleaned them today. The dime of 1901 is in nice shape and it is now in my collection now. 1918 lc in xf state is going to collection too. Since I am a big fan of Victorian finds -the dime 1901 and the thimble are my favorite ones. Cheers!

Great finds! The Victorian 10 cent is in great condition and so are the 1918 large cent and the US indian cent. What's an old US cent doing this side of the border? The thimble is in beautiful shape. Most of the ones I have found are crushed, corroded or both.

Hey, Buddy! The coins from US are spendable in Canada. The same situation was in the past. Three years ago I found the early 20th century wallet with Canadian LCs, small cents , one dime 1913 and couple wheat cents. Thank you , my Friend, for the comment!

What a great variety. Well done.
I dug a Canadian penny yesterday. I wasn't sure what it was until I got it home.
It's a 1944 with a nice green patina.
Thanks for the post & pix.

How or what did you use to clean them up? Most things i just leave alone, but i have a few that are really not worth anything and id like to see them cleaned up…

Hey, Buddy! I clean copper coins mechanically. I use glasses with led light with magnified lenses. Then I just use tooth picks and regular needles. Silver coins are cleaned with backing soda with a bit of water. If the silver coin is rare I don't clean it but wash it with the soap only. Thank you!

There has to be a fish scale there ...keep swinging...
Hey, Buddy! I just came home from there. Found 1943 silver Canadian quarter, 1900 LC of Queen Victoria and Canadian team of volleyball Olympic games token. Thank you, my Friend!
