Another eagle button

I was shocked when I saw the size of this one. Was it a coat button?
How do I get info on the dog tag?

Some of the older coat buttons had back marks...The more modern ones tend to corrode. Is there a back left on yours?

Dog tags have gone unchanged probably since dog tags were invented. I have no idea when it was made. Why don't you try to find the owner
