Looks like propeller scratches, like plow marks.

I agree that they look like either plow marks or marks from where the skeg of an outboard boat motor raked across it.

Our manos with plow marks look like this. In fact, yours would be a broken mano if found here. But we don’t have lakes or rivers in my part of west Texas. And no indigenous sandstone, so the call is easy for us.
