I was excited about my last box, which was a great score. And now this Loomis box has become the best box I've found so far.

In addition to the loomis box, I also did a Brinks box and it produced a 1964, a 1966 and a clad 2005S proof.

From the loomis box I found:

64
66
67x3
68x3
95S Silver proof (in bad shape)

+4 NIFC clads

I'm keeping the NIFCs for a friend, but the silver proof is what interested me the most. It was in the same roll with the 66, and when I saw the edge I thought it was a 64 90% half. When I pulled it out I checked the date and saw it was '95. After looking at it for a second, I figured the edge just wasn't worn and showing copper, so I threw it in my dump bag. When it entered the bag and clanked I heard the silver and pulled it back out. I looked it up and supposedly its 90% silver and has some numismatic value. I think though that any numismatic value is cancelled by how bad of condition the coin is in. Thoughts on if it still has any value over melt?

Here's a pic of the 95S:

It is worth just melt value. It looks more like a circulated half than a proof.

Yes, I agree. It's interesting to say the least though

I know, which is why I was so confused. It's really beat to hell.

man, that proof is in horrific shape, but it is in a good home now, congrats on the silver proof, whether it looks proof or not, the 1995s silver proof half dollar has a mintage of only 679k
