I got out again last night hoping to get that elusive gold ring from my local beach. I know it's there, but the beach only wants to give up the silver rings right now. I'm not complaining... I'll get it before long.

Tonight's haul was above average on clad... 3,463 Yen ($43.28) 2 silver rings (8 grams), and 1 quarter.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.

Thanks Lorrain :D

It was a long night (10pm - 2am). I think once I clear the clad out of the water, that gold ring I'm waiting for will finally show up.

Are you gonna get out again to hunt anytime soon?

Planning on another hunt tomorrow after I mow the lawn and clean out more of the old chicken coop from a by-gone era....lots of junk amassed over the years.

Good luck on your next hunt

Gold is going to happen. Good hunt again. :icon_thumright:

Got to be some gold there. Just a matter of time!

I actually pulled my first gold ring out of this beach at low tide. It shocked me really... didn't expect that at all.
So now I'm IN the water hunting as deep as I can, and ripping the Yen from that swimming area with a vengence. I think once I start thinning the finds out, there's going to be another gold ring (or 2) in this small area. Who knows... maybe platinum too.

Nice finds. I was stationed on Okinawa about 30 years ago, before the Expo event so beaches were a mess. Lots of garbage and smells. Still out of boredom I spent much time on a small stretch of the East China Sea near Camp Kue, hunting for shells, taking photos and such. Didn't have a detector back then. I remember that at low tide the wet sand seemed to go on forever. Beautiful sunsets. One eyeball find was a very dead and bloated dog. Didn't stay long that day. Got some nice shells and chased a few hermit crabs. I believe I lost... No, too poor back then to have anything to lose. Conversion rate was something like 280 yen to the dollar so local economy was cheap and we all had maids. Ah, memories. Magjm

The beaches here haven't been turning up much clad at all.

Looks like you're off the great start! :icon_thumleft:
