SMALL not Snall. Above ^

I hit the road tear out in my favorite park today!
they hauled off a good amount of top soil
So other than a few pieces of iron. And a couple small bullet shells
it only produced this one coin! Man was I excited
I know I'm gonna sound like a noob here but I always assumed the 3¢er's were larger
The rocky road wasn't kind to it.. but here it is
my oldest U.S. silver to date.

1856 3¢

After finishing the road I went into a nearby field and scored
This American flyer small lead train car.

Then I got the 23 merc about 9 inches down

And a small piece of silver from something. A few feet from the merc

Very nice! Yes, they are super thin. I always assumed they were the rough equivalent of 3 cents worth of silver at the time.

Super coin, congrats on a awesome finds.

Great finds! Thanks for sharing...

That's a wonderful find. And that field might be worth some more exploration too.

Congrats to you! :hello2: :blob3::blob9::blob3: :hello2:

Green with envy here, lol. :laughing7: Ever since I first saw a 3-cent design on t-net a couple years ago, it's been high on my wish list - maybe someday. Andi

Nice 3 cent piece, worth a few bucks!!

The nickel 3 cents coins (1865-1889) that came out during the last 8 years and after the silver 3 cents coins (1851-1873) are bigger, the same size as a modern dime.

I want a "Trime" too! Good work, I have a friend who is the city engineer, he lets me know ahead of time about sidewalk and road tearouts!

Great find!

You really have had some great recoveries lately buddy! Hope your hot streak continues

cool three cent. it's odd how so many are bent. I think the train car is an old cracker jack prize

I didn't know they were that small either, nice job! The old toy is so cool too, love digging them.

That's a great find! I've only seen them posted here occasionally - certainly not an everyday find. If they were just a little bit rarer, that would be a banner find.
